About Chad "Hutch"inson
Hutch was born and raised
in Virginia. In high school he first discovered his appreciation for
music, primarily classic rock and roll, especially Tom Petty and the
Heartbreakers and Bob Dylan. In college his love of music truly
blossomed. He discovered alternative rock, and began to listen to such
bands such as Cracker and The Connells and The Ramones and Pete Droge.
And it was good. But then he discovered the music that would really
move him--classic country. Despite being born far too late to
experience the prime of it--he discovered everything good about classic
country music. And he was hooked. When he found out that a bunch of
songs he liked were written by guys in Texas named Billy Joe Shaver and
Guy Clark and Townes Van Zandt, he went out and bought all of their CDs,
and it was then that he discovered Texas music. He used to think that
he was born too late--that he was a man from another time, and that he
should have been around to experience classic country in the 60s and
70s. But if he had, he would not have discovered Alternative Country,
which came to be called Americana. He started listening to the Jayhawks
and Son Volt and Steve Earle. And the Texas Music and Americana music
quickly became his favorite. And the rest is history.
In the fall of 2005, Hutch finally took the plunge and quit his job and moved to the Austin, Texas area to follow his dreams of getting a job in the business side of the music business. He is currently managing a band in the hill country and seeing as much great live music as he possibly can. |
