Roots On The River and Fred Eaglesmith's Musical Marathon
by Fern MacDonald Editor's Note: It is important for the readers who don't know Fern personally to understand that she has been battling some serious illness in recent months and even years. She feels truly blessed that she was able to attend this festival, and all that were there felt blessed that she was there as well. She is a courageous, strong woman with a great attitude about life and how it should be lived.

| Part IV - Bellow
Falls, Vermont, 2002 - Hockey aside...... I PROMISE I am almost finished! I just wanted to thank a few folks and say a few words about the Hockey Tourney! %$#@! the Eaglesmith Band lost again but thanks to Hat, her commentary was priceless. She decided to announce the game for Tim and those wanting to listen. Keep in mind that Renee, better known as Hat, hasn't a clue what the hey is going on. Here's an example: It's the locals, it's the locals. A local has the ball. He shoots and Willie is on the ground. Where the hell is Dan? Willie's in trouble, Willie's in trouble.....it's the locals. Now, Roger's got it, now Fred. Wait, Fred's protecting his privates! What's up with that? Ya had to be there! Anyone who heard Renee was in stitches and Tim nearly fell over. By the time the game ended, Renee had a good sized crowd around her. Too much fun!
